Styling A Leopard Blazer Three Ways

by How She Styles

At this point in fashion, leopard print has come in every shape and style.  In fact, I am sure if you wanted to you could wear head to toe leopard without trying too hard.

I took that iconic print and styled it in three different looks, for the weekend, for the workplace, and finally for the evening I own quite a bit of leopard, but for these looks I decided to style my favorite secondhand blazer.

Office

In some office environments a leopard blazer isn’t exactly appropriate. However, for those of us in a more easy-going work environment this outfit will give you all the boss lady vibes.

Nothing makes a basic outfit pop like a printed blazer. If leopard isn’t your thing a floral, plaid, or striped blazer do the same thing. I love making all the other pieces of my outfit neutral and basic so that the blazer has the spot-light (sorry for the cheesy dad joke).

Weekend

Blazers on the weekend might seem strange to some people, but it’s one of my go-to outfits for a more transitional time of year. Throwing a blazer over a casual outfit gives it a more polished and put together look.

This outfit has an almost rocker vibe by mixing the leopard with the band tee. I am really loving this look because it gives this blazer a casual look while still looking tailored.

Evening

For those few times I actually go out in the evening, my go-to is generally and all black look. I didn’t stray too far from that here. I think that it is a good starting point when you are trying to incorporated anything printed. The all black base underneath the blazer creates a blank canvas so the eye is immediately drawn to the blazer.

For this outfit, I kept my rule in tact by wearing a black lace tank over a pair of black leggings and black boots. For your interpretation of this look you could choose jeans and a tee or a little black dress to go under the blazer. It will depend on your style preference.

I chose a close-fitting silhouette to go under my blazer because I thought it would create an interesting juxtaposition next to the looser and boxier blazer. This is one of the few outfits I would actually wear out on the town in the winter. I am not a huge fan of freezing my butt off just to look sexy. This outfit is actually keeping me warm while looking like I am going out on the town.
