This trend has been creeping off of runways and has officially landed in stores. Together, the co-ord sets we saw throughout the summer tied with the moment that blazers are having right now have given rise to this new trend.
Not to mention, the ’80s are back in full force with no signs of slowing down—this means big-shoulder and oversized everything! The slouchy suit fits right in.
This set usually consists of a wide cut or oversized blazer paired with some slouchy straight leg trousers in the same print or color.
I’m on the fence about this trend. I love the idea of a suit because it makes you look put-together without having to put in too much effort: you just need to decide on a top and shoes to make the look work for your style. However, I always feel too dressed up in a suit, like I’m going to a job interview. Because let’s face it—that’s the only time I need to wear anything resembling a suit. I’m not convinced that I could pull this off at work. I mean, don’t get me wrong—I’ve seen many fashion girls pull this off, but I don’t know how it transitions into real life.

I love the tan suit with the tie belt because it’s more fitted. Maybe it’s because I’m petite, but I don’t think I could pull off a really big slouchy look. I just look swallowed up in those type of things!
I totally agree, if you feel like a blazer is a little too oversized a belt around the waist helps accentuate your shape!
