The wrap is basically a style that looks like it was just wrapped around the body. Sometimes it is functional and sometimes it’s not because who has time for that?
The wrap style has been slowing building since the fall. We saw it in skirts and now it’s blown up in all the other pieces of your wardrobe. The inspiration of ballet from many designer and affordable brands alike are to blame along with the eighties and nineties styles slowly resurfacing.
Wrap(idly) Gaining Popularity
I’m not surprised this style has returned in fact I welcome it. The wrap style is especially flattering in a dress. It easily accentuates all the parts you like to flatter such as the waist while hiding all the bits you don’t.

However, wrap styles are taking on new variations when it comes to how you wear them. Wraps can be simple, like just a little extra fabric on a skirt. They can also get more complicated depending on how fashion forward you want to get (or how long you want it to take you to get ready). I think this a flattering style that can be interpreted in many different ways depending on your personal style.
