Trend Tuesday: Paper Bag Waist Trousers

Paper bag waist trousers are a pair of pants usually made out of a drapey material that is gathered at the waist. In most cases, this style of pants has a belt to define the waist.

This style of pants started off as shorts in the summer, but as the fall collections start rolling out we’re seeing more and more of this style in trousers.

I believe this is all part of the lifecycle of the ruffle. It’s a feminine take on an easy office trouser and the waist defining aspects also give this piece a feminine feel.
