November 2017 Goals: Taking Care Of Business

by How She Styles

This month I decided to change things up and post my goals instead of my monthly favorites. If you want to check those out you’ll have to look out for it this Sunday on my YouTube channel. As for my goals, I want to basically make you guys my accountability team.  We all have goals big and small so if we have people supporting us and pushing us to be better than reaching our goals might get a little easier.

Reach 50 Followers on My YouTube Channel

In January, I began a YouTube channel. This is something I have been telling myself I would do for the year prior to actually starting it. I am so glad I did. For the first like six months my only subscribers were family, but I have grown it to 15! That’s a lot considering I barely put my YouTube channel out there. Until now!

My goal for November is to literally tell everyone I know about my baby. I am silly, I talk about fashion, and I love every second of it. Trying to reach 50 people will be difficult, but I am excited to try!

Be More Active on InstaStories

Instagram is one platform that I really worked hard at to grow, but I feel like I really stink at InstaStories.  I rarely think to use it. I figure no one wants to see me ramble about how I haven’t had time to put make up on for the third day in a row. If I am at a place or doing something that I want to share on social media I will usually just take a photo and post it later.

InstaStories is very “in the moment” and it’s never on my mind. Anyway, with that being said, I think it is a great feature that can be really fun and I want to take advantage of it! This month I want to try and post something on InstaStories daily. You should follow just to see what the heck is going to be on their because honestly, I have no plan. This will be a very impromptu and off the cuff so basically there will be no filter. Wish me luck!

Get The Hang Of Poshmark

I started a Poshmark account in October and I’m pretty excited to try and sell some of my best thrifted finds! I really want to be posting/selling at least 5-10 pieces a week. This is new territory for me so it’s pretty exciting! I love everything I am selling and basically the only reason I am not keeping everything for myself is because it doesn’t fit. Basically, if you like my style you should go check it out. Just saying. If any of you guys use Poshmark and have any tips let me know and leave your link below so I can check your shop out!

Make 5 Meals a Week at Home

Meal planning has been a goal of mine for a few months now and I just really haven’t gotten the hang of it. I would rather come home from a long day and make a bowl of cereal than make a well-balanced meal. Due to not making any food I never have leftovers; thus, I always buy lunch out when I am at work. This meal is under $11 dollars, but adds up when you do it five days of every week for the entire year when you could be bringing food from home and saving that money. These five meals include the weekend because then I can use those leftovers for work. It’s kind of a lot, but once I get in the habit I think it will get easier.

Read At Least One Book This Month

I LOVE to read. I couldn’t stop reading when I was a kid. Once I got in trouble in school because I was reading under my desk, not texting or using some sort of electronic device. I was reading. It has been a long time since I read that much. I always have intentions to read, but something always gets in the way. I am going to try and read a few pages in the morning or on the train in the evening when I don’t feel like working on any blog posts.  Any suggestions for books to read?  Post them in the comments!

Those are all my goals for November! If you guys miss October favorites you can check them out on my YouTube channel this Sunday. If you have any goals you are looking to achieve this month, let me know in the comments below so we can all be accountable!
